Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, Bentonville, Arkansas

Product: 60-40V Grid System (Grey Blend)

The newly constructed Alice L. Walton School of Medicine in Bentonville, Arkansas, called for forward-thinking landscape solutions that reflect the institution’s emphasis on innovation and sustainability. Designed by award-winning architectural firm Polk Stanley Wilcox, the 154,000 sq.ft. medical campus prioritizes both function and ecological responsibility.

To meet these needs, BrightView, one of the most respected names in commercial landscaping, installed over 34,000 sq.ft. of stabilized, fully permeable gravel driving and parking areas using CORE Landscape Products’ 60-40V Grid System in a grey blend. White markers were added to define driving lanes and parking spaces while maintaining the clean, organic aesthetic of the campus.

The result is a landscape that supports heavy vehicle use while remaining environmentally conscious—allowing water to pass through, reducing runoff, and contributing to the site’s overall stormwater management strategy. By combining structural stability with visual harmony, this project sets a new standard for green infrastructure in institutional settings.

The Alice L. Walton School of Medicine is a compelling case study in how large-scale developments can seamlessly integrate sustainable materials without compromising performance or design intent.
