Long Gravel Driveway | Habitat For Humanity 2016 Build

Core Gravel installed a 6000 ft. permeable gravel driveway and parking areas for a Habitat For Humanity multifamily development in Courtenay, British Columbia. The CORE gravel portion of the project was performed over a 5 day period and completed with the help of volunteers of all ages and skill sets. CORE gravel is truly a DIY friendly system!

  • CORE driveway installation in a Habitat for Humanity installation in Courtenay, BC
  • CORE Gravel is pleased to work with Habitat For Humanity on a driveway and parking area installation.
  • The entry drive was approx. 6000 sq.ft., giving access to a 6 family units
  • Once the driveway area was prepped with a level bed of compacted sand it was ready for the layer of geocell grids and a weed free membrane.
  • Volunteers prepare the parking stalls for a CORE Gravel installation.
  • The CORE Gravel 60-40 is installed by volunteers
  • Once in place, the geotextile fabric can be easily trimmed using tin snips
  • For cutting the grid system, a skillsaw is required
  • Completed driveway and parking areas...Welcome Home Habitat for Humanity recipients!

  • September 2016, 2 years after installation. Our CORE gravel 60-40 is performing beautifully!
