Located in Manhattan’s East Village, this venue continues to champion the voices of queer, political, and avant-garde artists—many of whom have historically been excluded from traditional institutions.

To support accessibility, environmental sustainability, and structural stability, 2,300 sq. ft. of CORE Gravel 50-35 Virgin was installed around the venue. The stabilized gravel surface is fully permeable, reducing runoff while meeting ADA compliance for seamless accessibility to all visitors.

This infrastructure upgrade plays a quiet but vital role in reinforcing Performance Space’s commitment to inclusivity and resilience. The grid system ensures a durable, accessible foundation for the community and performances alike—where artistry meets everyday functionality, without compromising on sustainability.
